Position: School Facilities Officer
Location: Tower Hamlets
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Contract: Temp to Perm
Start Date: ASAP/ the upcoming school term
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking School Facilities Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the school premises are safe, secure, clean, and well maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out basic maintenance and minor repair work.
- Assist with site inspections and report defects.
- Keep school buildings, grounds, and car parks clean and tidy.
- Empty bins, remove litter, and assist with seasonal grounds maintenance.
- Support the opening and closing of the school site.
- Conduct basic security checks and report concerns.
- Assist with fire alarm testing and emergency procedures.
- Set up rooms and facilities for school events and activities.
- Support contractors and respond to staff maintenance requests.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as a facilities officer within a school environment.
- A valid Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Basic DIY and repair skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach
