Occupational Therapist - SEN School Chertsey, Surrey | Permanent £39,418 - £41,332 per annum (actual pay - not pro-rata) | Term-time only + 3 weeks. Generous leave of 10 weeks during the school closure period.
Overview
I am currently recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to work with my client in Chertsey, Surrey. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in identifying and addressing the individual needs of pupils with special educational needs. This involves developing and implementing personalised intervention plans, providing therapeutic support to enhance engagement and independence, and working closely with parents, educators, and other professionals to support each pupil's overall development, wellbeing, and participation in school life.
The school is a highly regarded specialist provision recognised for its excellence in delivering a combined approach to education, therapeutic support, and pastoral care. Catering for children aged 4-11, it provides both day and residential placements for pupils with significant speech, language, and communication difficulties, many of whom also present with additional learning, social, emotional, or behavioural needs.
Start: September 2026
Requirements
- At least 1 year postgraduate experience working within a school environment
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong assessment, report writing and intervention planning skills
- HCPC registered
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy recognised by relevant professional bodies.
- Clear DBS (we can put this in process for you)
