About the Role
We are a recruitment agency working on behalf of a welcoming 3-form entry mainstream primary school in Walthamstow, who are seeking reliable and enthusiastic After School Club Assistants. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with primary-aged children and can help create a safe, engaging, and positive environment at the end of the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support pupils during after school club sessions
- Assist with setting up and leading play-based, creative, and structured activities
- Ensure children's safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour at all times
- Support snack time and tidy-up routines
- Work collaboratively with other club staff and the school team
Candidate Requirements
- Experience working with children in a primary school or childcare setting is desirable
- A positive, patient, and proactive approach
- Ability to engage children in fun and age-appropriate activities
- Strong communication skills and reliability
- Relevant childcare or playwork qualifications are desirable but not essential
