This is a genuinely strong Senior Project Manager opportunity within a growing, well established construction consultancy that continues to win major workplace programmes across the North West. They are looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager into their Manchester team as part of continued growth, driven by a secured pipeline of work rather than speculative hiring. You will be joining a high performing project management team delivering Cat A and Cat B commercial fit-out schemes for major clients. These are long term programmes typically ranging from £300m to £500m, offering continuity, scale and complexity rather than one off delivery. The work is varied and high quality.
You will be involved in:
- High end corporate office environments for financial institutions
- Large scale workplace programmes with repeat clients
- Complex refurbishments within listed and heritage buildings
- Design led projects where quality and detail matter
One of the key reasons people join and stay is the way the team is structured. Individuals are rotated across projects and sectors to keep things fresh and build broader experience. There has also been a strong run of internal promotions recently, giving a clear and realistic pathway for progression.
The role
- You will take ownership of projects from early stage through to completion
- Act as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Lead coordination across design, commercial and delivery teams
- Manage programme, risk and quality across multiple schemes
- Support and mentor junior team members within the team
About you
- You will be operating within a construction consultancy, developer or main contractor environment.
- Strong experience delivering Cat A and/or Cat B commercial fit-out projects
- Comfortable in a client facing role and leading meetings
- Good understanding of JCT contracts and project delivery
- Either an established Senior Project Manager or a Project Manager ready to step up
What is on offer
- Clear progression backed by recent promotions within the team
- Exposure to large scale programmes rather than isolated projects
- Opportunity to move across sectors and broaden your experience
- Strong pipeline with repeat clients and secured work
- Flexible hybrid working and supportive team environment
