A well-established and rapidly growing construction consultancy is seeking a Senior or Associate Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its Cost Management team in the North West. The business has experienced significant growth in the region over the past three years and is now looking to appoint an experienced cost professional to support project delivery and contribute to the development of the regional team.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Regional Cost Director and National Head of Cost Management, managing and supporting a range of projects across multiple sectors, including a portion of public sector and blue light projects. You will be involved in projects with a combined value of approximately £300m, working within a strong portfolio that underpins the continued expansion of the business in the region.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Senior or Associate Quantity Surveyor ready to take on increased responsibility, develop client relationships, and contribute to the commercial and operational success of a growing consultancy. Experience in the public sector, particularly with blue light services, will be highly valued.

Key responsibilities:
  • Support delivery of major projects across private and public sectors, providing accurate and timely cost advice
  • Manage client relationships and act as a trusted commercial advisor on assigned projects
  • Assist in preparation of bids, tenders, and cost reports, ensuring quality and commercial compliance
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and risk registers, identifying opportunities for cost savings
  • Work under NEC and JCT contract frameworks, providing practical and commercial guidance
  • Support the wider Cost Management team, contributing to mentoring and development of junior staff
  • Assist in refining internal processes and standards to improve delivery efficiency and consistency
