Our client, a leading consultancy, is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to work across a portfolio of significant healthcare capital projects. The successful candidate will take responsibility for project delivery, acting as a key client interface and leading multidisciplinary teams through the project lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for an established Project Manager with healthcare experience who is looking to work on complex and meaningful capital programmes.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead project management commissions from inception through to completion. Responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic project management advice during project development and inception
- Establishing project objectives and success criteria covering time, cost, technical and performance requirements
- Developing detailed project plans and programmes
- Establishing effective project governance, processes and controls
- Leading multidisciplinary project teams
- Advising on procurement and the appointment of project resources
- Monitoring project performance and implementing appropriate KPIs
- Managing project risk and change control
- Monitoring and advising on project finances
- Managing information flows between clients, consultants and delivery teams
- Producing formal project progress and performance reports
- Managing client and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensuring quality, health, safety and environmental considerations are effectively managed
We are interested in speaking with experienced Project Managers who can demonstrate:
- A degree in a relevant construction or property discipline
- Professional qualification through an appropriate body such as APM, CIOB, RICS or equivalent
- Proven experience delivering healthcare capital projects
- Strong project management experience across the full project lifecycle
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Experience leading multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams
Experience within a consultancy environment would be particularly relevant, although strong candidates from contracting or client-side backgrounds will also be considered. Our client has a preference for candidates based in London, Leeds or Manchester.
