Our client, a leading project and programme management consultancy, is looking to strengthen its construction project management team through the appointment of an experienced Senior Project Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for the delivery of complex construction projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams.
The roleAs a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of construction projects through the project lifecycle. Responsibilities will include:
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of major construction projects
- Developing project plans, programmes, budgets and resource requirements
- Establishing effective project governance, processes and controls
- Coordinating architects, engineers, consultants and contractors
- Managing project risk and developing mitigation strategies
- Monitoring project finances and managing change control
- Managing project reporting and stakeholder communications
- Monitoring performance against time, cost and quality objectives
- Ensuring appropriate health, safety and environmental standards are maintained
- Building strong relationships with clients and identifying opportunities to provide additional support
- Mentoring and developing junior project management colleagues
About youWe are interested in speaking with experienced Project Managers who can demonstrate:
- A degree in construction management, engineering or another relevant discipline
- Significant experience managing complex construction projects
- A strong understanding of the construction and development lifecycle
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- Strong commercial, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience within a consultancy environment
- An appropriate professional qualification or project management accreditation
