The opportunity

An industry-leading UK manufacturer is undergoing a once-in-a-generation transformation, and we’re seeking exceptional project management professionals to play a pivotal role in delivering this high-profile industrial investment. Backed by significant funding and strategic national importance, this major redevelopment includes the construction of a state-of-the-art, highly automated machine shop - a facility set to redefine the future of advanced manufacturing in the defence, nuclear, and renewable energy sectors. This is a rare opportunity to drive a project that will strengthen the UK’s sovereign manufacturing capabilities and push the boundaries of engineering innovation.

This organisation is renowned for pioneering new technologies, with expertise in Electron Beam Welding, ultra-large castings and forgings, and the delivery of high-integrity components for mission-critical applications. Their work is central to offshore energy, the UK’s nuclear programme, and high-security defence projects, and this investment will secure their position at the forefront of global engineering.

As a project management professional, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading on the delivery of this complex, multi-phase industrial development. You’ll work alongside world-class engineers, cutting-edge technology specialists, and leading construction partners to bring this transformative facility to life - ensuring it is delivered on time, to specification, and with the highest standards of execution.

Requirements

  • You will have strong project management experience with a technical background from the construction sector and ideally hold professional qualifications and memberships (MCIOB, MAPM etc), along with experience of NEC contracts.
  • Ideally have NEC accreditation or NEC project management experience.
  • You will ideally already be security cleared or able to get security clearance.
  • Have worked/led on large complex construction programmes of work in the construction sector.
  • A technical construction background is a must-have to be considered for these roles.
  • Able to work on own initiative with strong motivation skills.
  • Strong communication skills with experience working in a client-focused environment.
  • Well organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to working a minimum of 4 days on site (Monday to Thursday).
