The role involves seeking a Project Manager, with healthcare experience, to be based out of their London office, who can successfully drive the business forward in the region, deliver existing projects, and maintain key client relationships, whilst being an integral part of their wider business plan.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of healthcare projects in London. This pivotal role requires a strong background in construction project management, with proven experience in managing complex healthcare developments from beginning to end. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and adhere to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams to effectively deliver detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timelines and cost targets are met.
- Coordinate internal and external resources in alignment with project objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with healthcare clients, principal contractors, consultants, and all other stakeholders.
- Ensure consistent alignment among all parties regarding progress, expectations, and objectives through effective communication and the negotiation of timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Strategise and implement risk mitigation specific to healthcare environments.
- Proactively monitor for potential issues and develop contingency plans as needed.
- Ensure all deliverables consistently meet the highest quality standards, strictly adhering to healthcare regulations, client specifications, and safety requirements.
- Closely monitor budgets and expenditure to ensure efficient resource utilisation.
- Actively explore cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

The candidate:
We are seeking a confident, entrepreneurial and ambitious individual with a commercial mindset. The ideal candidate will be eager to work hard and contribute to an exciting and growing business.
- Hold a degree in Project Management or Construction Management, or possess a Project Management certification (e.g., AMP, PMP). A master's degree or professional membership (e.g., MCIOB or MRICS) is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the healthcare sector, unless transferable skills from another industry can be demonstrably applied.
- Spearheading lead generation and business development are critical.
- Demonstrated capability in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion.
- Possesses strong skills in planning, scheduling, and resource management.
- Experience using project management software (e.g. MS Project, Asta Powerproject, Primavera).
- Great leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of UK construction regulations, particularly healthcare compliance standards.
- Highly adaptable to managing change and uncertainty in dynamic environments.
- Proactive in pinpointing challenges and developing successful resolutions.
- A keen eye for detail in documentation, compliance, and deliverables is essential.
- Adept at managing team dynamics and client relationships with empathy and tact.
- The ability to tailor communication strategies for clinical environments.
- In-depth understanding of healthcare construction regulations, including HTM/HBN standards, particularly within live healthcare environments. This includes adherence to strict infection control and access protocols.
- Familiarity with how built environments impact healthcare delivery and clinical workflows.
- Familiarity with healthcare delivery models (primary, secondary, and tertiary care).
- Able to provide support for the adoption of new processes or technologies within healthcare interfaces.
