A well-respected independent accountancy and business advisory firm operating across the North of England and Scotland is looking to strengthen its Financial Planning team in Penrith. With a strong values-driven culture and a focus on long term relationships, this company supports clients to achieve financial security and peace of mind while investing heavily in the development and wellbeing of its colleagues.
This is a rare role to join a thriving team and take on a ‘ready made’ client bank with ongoing prolific flow of new business leads to help you continue to grow your portfolio. You will also have the support from a highly skilled administration and paraplanning team.

You will take over and develop a readymade client bank following a previous adviser departure covering a range of financial topics including pensions and retirement planning, IHT and estate planning advice, investment and savings along with protection as needed. You will also support the Head of Advice by servicing part of their existing client portfolio which will add further trail to your portfolio.
You will work closely with clients to understand their objectives and deliver robust tailored financial advice, providing high quality ongoing advice and maintaining long term client relationships. Undertaking internal and external business development activity to assist in generation of new client opportunities is also key.
Building and maintaining strong technical knowledge across financial planning and regulation is essential. You will be working with clients mainly in and around Penrith with occasional travel to surrounding areas e.g. Carlisle and Kendal.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning.
- Ideally previous experience in a financial advisory role.
- Strong understanding of FCA regulatory standards.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines.
- High attention to detail and good IT skills.
