An independent, globally respected real estate and infrastructure consultancy is expanding its Manchester team following sustained national growth and major programme wins across residential, stadia and defence sectors. Backed by significant long-term investment, this organisation delivers complex, high-value schemes for a diverse portfolio of public and private sector clients. Their projects range from large-scale residential developments and iconic sporting venues to secure defence infrastructure.
This is an opportunity to join a consultancy known for commercial credibility, technical excellence and a people-first culture, offering clear progression from Project Manager through to Director level. There are three dedicated sector teams (Residential, Stadia, Defence), each with its own leadership structure and pipeline.
The opportunity
You will play a key role in delivering projects from early-stage feasibility and pre-construction through to practical completion. Depending on level, responsibilities will include:
- Leading project delivery across residential, stadia or defence schemes
- Acting as Contract Administrator under JCT or NEC forms
- Managing governance, programme, risk and commercial performance
- Driving quality, H&S and stakeholder engagement standards
- Advising clients through structured reporting and strategic input
- Mentoring junior team members (Senior PM / Associate level)
- Supporting sector growth and client relationship development (Associate level)
This role suits professionals who enjoy both technical delivery and client-facing responsibility.
About you
You will be operating within a consultancy, client-side or developer environment and comfortable managing complex stakeholder structures.
Essential experience:
- Degree-qualified in a construction-related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrable experience administering JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Strong understanding of procurement and governance frameworks
- Experience delivering projects within residential, regulated, secure or complex environments
- Commercially astute with strong reporting capability
- Confident communicator able to present at senior stakeholder level
For Associate-level applicants, experience contributing to business development, sector growth or team leadership will be advantageous.
