As a growing consultancy they offer construction consultancy services to clients throughout the UK. Their team's expertise lies in construction and property, and they take a hands-on management approach while staying informed on the latest industry developments and technology. Their focus on developing facilities for the public, commercial, residential, and offshore sectors positions them at the centre of dynamic growth within these markets.

They are now seeking a Director of Project Management to be based out of their London office, who can successfully drive the business forward in the region while leading and growing the Project Management team in the South, deliver existing projects, and maintain key client relationships, whilst being an integral part of their wider business plan.

The role

  • Lead the growth of the PM business in London and the South East
  • Be responsible for the P&L of the division
  • Lead and manage personnel within the business
  • Oversee all project management aspects of project delivery, including strategy, planning, pre-construction, design, procurement, delivery and aftercare - with a particular focus on residential real estate
  • Collaborate with other Directors to develop and deliver the company's strategic objectives
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with all staff, customers, and partners
  • Support overall business objectives
  • Provide professional property-related commercial expertise to clients and develop new business opportunities
  • Assist with staff recruitment and retention
  • Enhance the organisation's reputation and brand
  • Undertake business development activities to attract new and retain existing customers

The candidate

  • The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, charismatic, ambitious, and detail-oriented.
  • You will possess a curious and inquisitive mind, encourage collaborative problem-solving, and drive learning and growth.
  • Professionally recognised project management related qualification, along with MRICS/MAPM/MCIOB or similar
  • Extensive experience in project management for major residential and commercial real estate projects
  • Proficient in all aspects of project management, including strategy, pre-construction, planning, design management, stakeholder management, procurement, construction, handover, and aftercare
  • Proven ability to manage project/supply chain procurement and reporting/performance management
  • Demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking in complex and uncertain situations involving diverse stakeholders
  • Skilled in risk management, including impact assessment
  • Able to define and influence strategic goals, and ensure timely, on-budget delivery that meets quality standards
  • Experienced in financial management across various budget levels, with strong analytical skills and the ability to gather, analyse, and interpret data to propose solutions
  • Proficient in construction contracts, contract management, and procurement practices for projects and service delivery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and persuasively to all levels, including explaining technical matters to non-technical audiences
