Our client, a leading consultancy, is expanding its Cost and Commercial Management capability to support a significant programme of healthcare investment. We are interested in speaking with experienced cost and commercial professionals who have worked on major capital projects or programmes and are comfortable operating within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
There are opportunities across the cost and commercial management function, offering the chance to work on substantial healthcare projects and contribute to improving cost certainty, commercial performance and programme delivery.
The role
- Providing cost management and estimating expertise across major capital projects
- Supporting project teams in maintaining control of approved cost baselines
- Providing cost assurance and supporting the resolution of commercial matters
- Reviewing and reporting project cost performance
- Working closely with project leads, client organisations, consultants and contractors
- Producing detailed cost analysis to support commercial decision-making
- Identifying and assessing cost risks and opportunities
- Supporting business case development and governance
- Verifying project cost status and forecasts
- Supporting change control and assessing the cost implications of change
- Helping improve cost predictability and identifying opportunities for efficiencies
- Contributing to the development of cost management processes, tools and reporting
- Supporting continuous improvement across the wider programme
About you
- A relevant technical or commercial qualification
- Experience delivering major projects or programmes of significant value and complexity
- Strong cost management and/or estimating experience
- Excellent client and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to operate confidently within complex programme environments
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
- A collaborative and pragmatic approach
- Chartered status or progress towards an appropriate professional qualification
Experience within healthcare, life sciences or other major public-sector capital programmes would be particularly valuable.
