Associate/Senior Associate Project Manager – Built Environment Consultancy
Leeds (hybrid)
Competitive salary + excellent benefits
Permanent full-time position
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate Project Manager to take on a pivotal role within a fast-growing consultancy. Acting as the number two to the Leeds Office Lead, you’ll have significant responsibility for project delivery, client relationships, and team development.
The immediate focus will be on private sector residential projects – BTR, housing, and regeneration – while also gaining exposure across a wider portfolio. You will work directly with leading names in the BTR sector, benefitting from the strong client relationships already established by the Leeds Director.
With private equity investment and a 10-year growth strategy in motion, this consultancy offers a platform for rapid progression. The Leeds office is central to that journey, making this a highly visible and influential role.
The company
Our client is a progressive built environment consultancy, delivering quality, innovation, and impact. Their model allows professionals the time and space to deliver for clients properly, without being spread too thin.
They partner with both public and private sector clients to shape sustainable, high-performing environments, offering integrated expertise across multiple disciplines. Growth is being driven through both organic expansion and targeted acquisitions, and the Leeds office is a key part of this plan.
The opportunity
As Associate/Senior Associate Project Manager, you will:
- Act as number two to the Office Lead, supporting business strategy and team development in the residential sector
- Lead the delivery of residential schemes (BTR, housing, regeneration), while maintaining oversight across a wider project mix
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
- Manage budgets, programmes, risks, and resources to ensure best-in-class delivery
- Mentor and support junior colleagues, contributing to a high-performing culture
- Play a role in business development, supporting the office’s profile and growth across the region
The plan is to secure this key hire, embed them successfully, and then expand the team further as opportunities grow.
The candidate
We’re seeking a forward-thinking project management professional with consultancy experience who is ready to step into a senior role combining delivery and leadership.
You will bring:
- Experience as an Associate, Senior Associate, or Senior Project Manager within a consultancy environment
- A strong track record in residential projects (BTR, housing, regeneration); wider sector experience an advantage
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to business development
- Professional qualifications (MRICS, MAPM or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
What’s on offer
This role offers the chance to establish yourself as a key figure in a high-growth consultancy, delivering flagship residential and mixed-use projects while shaping the growth of the Leeds office.
Benefits include:
- Competitive salary and benefits package
- Clear progression opportunities, working closely with the Office Lead
- High-profile projects and strong residential focus
- Flexible hybrid working
- A supportive, collaborative culture with excellent career development pathways
