Job Title: Recruitment Consultant (Dental Agency)
Salary: up to £35,000 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting, Commission, and on-call pay)
Company: Tempdent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, rotational shifts (08:00 - 17:00 and 09:00 - 18:00).
Location: Tempdent Head Office, N20 9BD
On-Call & Weekend Commitment: Required to participate in a rotational on-call system (1 day per week) and cover 1 weekend per month.
Job Scope
To contribute across all aspects of the Tempdent agency-engaging with clients, suppliers, and partners-to help improve the quality, growth, and financial viability of the agency provision.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Placements: Take full responsibility for the successful placement of temporary dental nurses into dental practices.
- Business Development: Carry out proactive business development activities to secure new clients and candidates, driving the expansion of the company.
- Account Management: Successfully work with, retain, and nurture Tempdent's existing network of temporary workers, clients, and suppliers.
- Candidate Management: Help Interview dental staff seeking temporary work and ensure they are placed into jobs as soon as they are fully compliant.
- Customer Service & Admin: Ensure all incoming telephone calls are handled effectively and undertake all necessary administrative tasks required by the agency department.
- Strategic Growth: Help systematically plan, implement, and manage the growth of Tempdent's client base and diversify service offerings to the dental profession.
- Cross-Selling & Training Referral: Identify training opportunities, immediately pass relevant matters to the training team, and introduce interested candidates to the appropriate training staff.
- Quality Assurance: Execute regular quality assurance procedures to drive continuous improvement, including candidate interviews, compliance tracking, and gathering regular feedback on temps.
- Compliance & Law: Strictly adhere to all Tempdent policies, procedures, and quality standards, while staying current with employment law and dental profession legislation.
- Meetings & Actions: Attend and contribute to team meetings, taking ownership of and completing any assigned action points.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in temporary and/or permanent recruitment, OR background experience within the dental sector combined with relevant business/recruitment experience.
Knowledge and Understanding
The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:
- Temporary recruitment processes and best practices.
- Computer office software and CRM systems.
- A willingness to rapidly build a working knowledge of the dental profession's supply, demand, and legislative landscape.
Skills and Abilities
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Prioritize and plan work effectively to meet tight deadlines.
- Work independently using own initiative while managing and contributing well as part of a team.
- Develop and sustain effective professional relationships and networks with clients, candidates, and partners.

- Maintain a high standard of accuracy and professionalism across all tasks.
