We have an opportunity for a candidate to join our longstanding Clients Linehaul Operations team on a temporary basis. The role is responsible for supporting daily operational activities, driver coordination, fleet management, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Contract: Temporary 6 months

Hours: Monday to Friday, 2x 14:00 hrs to 22:00 hrs & 20:00 hrs to 04:00 hrs

Review: Following the six-month period, the role will be reviewed and may be advertised as a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assigning drivers and vehicles to scheduled linehaul runs and ad-hoc extra movements
  • Printing scan sheets, run plans, and driver instructions (including agency drivers)
  • Reporting and logging tyre defects on trucks and trailers
  • Requesting agency cover for holidays, sickness, and additional collections
  • Producing and managing the daily VOR report and overseeing fleet maintenance activity
  • Liaising with the fleet maintenance team and third-party providers for servicing and repairs
  • Downloading vehicles and updating system records
  • Building and amending tours using ROCS Operate/Manage
  • Communicating throughout the day with drivers, providing updates to runs and changes as required
  • Dispatching and debriefing drivers
  • Uniform ordering
  • Liaising with planning and scheduling teams for weekend and bank holiday tours
  • Conducting agency inductions
  • Managing email communications between stations, hubs, customers, and sales account managers
  • Dealing with vehicle breakdowns and operational disruptions
