Temp Station are currently looking for Class 1 Night drivers in the Trafford Park (M17) area to complete an ongoing double-man tour running from Manchester to Stanstead. We are looking for two candidates to work a Monday to Friday pattern on one of our double manned tours. Start time is 14:00 with a finish of around 02:00 Monday to Thursday, 16:30 - 04:00 Friday - averaging an 11 hour paid shift per night.
As the collections on this tour are both air side, the candidates would have to complete online AVSEC training in order to gain access to the airports. This would be paid for by Temp Station and in total takes around 8 hours. Drivers may also be required to carry ADR Freight therefore will need ADR training, which can be completed and paid for by TSL.
Candidates must have had a minimum of 1 years experience driving Class 1 with less than 6 points on their licence. Candidates will also be required to have a DBS check completed (Criminal record check). This can also be done by Temp Station on behalf of the candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- The role will be a trunk run/trailer swaps at set hubs nationwide
- Ensure the company’s Health and Safety policy is adhered to
- To communicate with transport office
- To complete all paperwork in an orderly manner
- To work to all WTD rules
Skills and Experience:
- Full C+E license, Digi Card, and full CPC required.
- 1 year experience required for insurance purposes.
- Good communication skills required.
- No DD, DR, INs and no more than 6 points on your license.
We can also offer Temp Station drivers uniform and in-house CPC training at a reduced cost.
PAYE: £17.50
SHP: £19.33
