Temp All Staffing is recruiting on behalf of a small, highly efficient, and friendly logistics company based in Colchester. They work closely with primary customers, managing and organising 60 to 70 daily deliveries. Most of their operations involve standard routes with consistent collection and delivery points. They operate as a tight-knit, supportive team and are looking for a reliable Office Administration Assistant to join them.
This is a fast-paced tracking and data-entry role. You will be responsible for monitoring daily haulage runs, ensuring everything is on schedule, and keeping records perfectly up to date. Because logistics never stops, working every weekend is a core requirement for this role, whether you join on a part-time (3-4 days) or full-time basis.
The Role
- Monitoring & Tracking: Actively track 60-70 daily collections and deliveries to ensure timely arrivals.
- Data Management: Continuously update and maintain large master spreadsheets with precise delivery details.
- Driver & Haulier Communication: Coordinate directly with drivers and third-party hauliers to give updates and resolve quick queries.
- Customer Service: Communicate seamlessly with the main client to provide real-time updates on their transport schedule.
Your Experience/ Requirements
- Highly IT Literate: You must be comfortable navigating large, complex spreadsheets and quick to adapt to digital tools.
- Strong Communicator: Ability to communicate clearly, politely, and effectively across digital platforms.
- Tech Savvy
- Detail-Oriented: With dozens of runs moving daily, accuracy in data entry and tracking is essential.
