This role will support our CASS team with ensuring our key documents and policies are up to date and compliant with the rules.
Job Description
- Provide strategic and technical advice on CASS compliance to the business.
- Act to support communications with regulators, auditors, and key external stakeholders on CASS matters.
- Act as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the FCA's CASS (Client Asset Sourcebook) rules.
- Ensure the design, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls, policies, procedures, and training necessary to meet CASS standards.
- Own and ensure the CASS framework is kept up to date on an ongoing basis.
- Mapping and maintaining the CASS Matrix against the CASS rules.
- Lead and oversee initial and ongoing due diligence exercises related to relevant third parties.
- Help the team to ensure compliance with FCA's CASS rules to safeguard client assets and money, including reviewing daily client money reconciliation processes and ensuring robust, detailed record-keeping that satisfies regulatory requirements.
- Design and maintenance of robust operational CASS controls and ownership of policies and key CASS documents.
- Identifying and acting upon opportunities to enhance compliance in all CASS-related activities.
- Maintain the CASS resolution pack and other key documents and reports.
- Keep process, procedure and policy documentation up to date.
What we’re looking for
- Experienced in an FCA regulated Client Money role at a senior level, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and regulators (minimum of X years experience).
- In-depth knowledge of CASS regulations and experience within a CASS Oversight function.
- You’re able to work in fast changing, constantly evolving environment and deliver within tight deadlines.
- You’ll bring positive energy and drive that embraces the twists and turns of a start-up environment.
- You’re comfortable working outside of rigid structures and frameworks.
- You have great English language skills (written and oral) and you’re a great communicator.
Additional Information
- Part-time role - we expect to be 2 to 3 days per week.
