About TEMBO
Company: TEMBO
Salary: £50,000 per annum plus performance-related bonus
Location: Vauxhall, London — hybrid, with three days per week in the office
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Reports to: Director of MARKETING AGENCY
Works closely with: Head of AI & MarTech, agency campaign managers and digital colleagues
TEMBO creates possibilities for the events industry.
We help exhibition organisers, conference businesses, media owners, associations and corporates achieve more through marketing, content, consultancy, training and flexible resourcing.
Our agency delivers campaigns for B2B and consumer events in the UK and internationally. From attracting visitors and selling tickets to generating exhibitor enquiries and growing audiences, we combine industry knowledge with practical delivery and a clear focus on results.
The role
You’ll plan, build, manage and optimise digital campaigns across a portfolio of TEMBO clients, helping them reach the right audiences and turn interest into registrations, ticket sales and qualified enquiries.
This is a hands-on role. You’ll work directly in advertising platforms, manage budgets, check tracking, test improvements and explain what the results mean. You’ll also work closely with our campaign managers to make sure digital activity supports each client’s wider marketing objectives.
You’ll have the support of our Head of AI & MarTech on technology, CRM, automation and more complex measurement requirements, while taking responsibility for the quality and performance of your campaigns.
We’re looking for someone who spots opportunities, raises problems early and follows through with practical solutions.
What you’ll do
- Translate client briefs into clear digital campaign plans, with defined audiences, channel recommendations, budgets and performance targets.
- Build and manage campaigns across Google Ads and Meta, using LinkedIn and other relevant platforms where they suit the brief.
- Develop targeting, keyword, remarketing and audience strategies appropriate to B2B and consumer events.
- Work with campaign managers, designers and copywriters to produce effective advertising and landing-page content.
- Manage campaign launches, checks and approvals, keeping delivery on schedule.
- Monitor spend and budget pacing across your accounts, taking into account event dates, booking deadlines, and sales cycles.
- Optimise targeting, bids, placements, search terms, creative and landing pages to improve results.
- Run structured tests, document what you learn and apply successful approaches across relevant campaigns.
- Identify underperformance early and recommend clear corrective action.
- Focus on meaningful outcomes such as cost per registration, ticket revenue, acquisition cost and lead quality.
- Set up, check and troubleshoot campaign tracking using GA4, Google Tag Manager and advertising platform tools.
- Validate conversion events and investigate discrepancies between advertising, analytics and registration or ticketing data.
- Work with our Head of AI & MarTech and external suppliers on more complex tracking and integration requirements.
- Maintain consistent campaign naming, UTM tracking and reporting.
- Produce clear reports that explain results, their limitations and the actions you recommend.
- Review landing pages, registration forms and ticket purchase journeys to identify barriers to conversion.
- Brief practical improvements and coordinate implementation with the relevant colleagues or suppliers.
- Consider how paid media connects with email, CRM, organic activity and the wider campaign.
- Use audience and campaign insight to improve messaging and targeting.
- Join client meetings and confidently explain campaign plans, performance and recommendations.
- Set realistic expectations and communicate risks, dependencies and changes promptly.
- Understand each client’s objectives and make recommendations that reflect their priorities and budget.
- Support proposals with channel recommendations, budget estimates and realistic forecasts.
- Support junior digital colleagues through clear briefs, practical guidance and constructive feedback.
- Review delegated work and help maintain consistent quality.
- Manage your workload across several accounts, keeping tasks, deadlines and documentation up to date.
- Track delivery time against agreed scopes and flag additional requirements early.
- Share useful platform developments, campaign learnings and responsible applications of AI.
- Contribute to TEMBO’s own digital campaigns where agreed within the team’s priorities and capacity.
What you’ll bring
Essential
- Demonstrable experience personally building, managing and optimising Google Ads and Meta campaigns.
- A track record of delivering measurable acquisition, lead-generation or sales results.

- Practical knowledge of GA4, Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking, including the ability to identify and investigate problems.
- Strong budget management and confidence interpreting campaign data.
- An understanding of landing-page performance and conversion optimisation.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain technical information to clients and colleagues.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
- The judgement to act independently and recognise when specialist support is needed.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to help less experienced colleagues develop.
Desirable
- Experience in an agency or another environment involving multiple clients or brands.
- Experience marketing exhibitions, conferences, consumer events, ticketed experiences or other deadline-driven products.
- LinkedIn advertising experience, particularly for B2B audiences.

- Experience working with registration or ticketing platforms.
- Familiarity with Looker Studio or similar reporting tools.
- An understanding of SEO fundamentals and how organic and paid activity work together.
- Relevant Google, Meta or HubSpot certifications.
Events experience is welcome, but it is not essential. We’re interested in the quality of your thinking, the work you have personally delivered and the results you can demonstrate.
