We're looking for an experienced, revenue-focused Marketing Manager to lead marketing strategy across a portfolio of premium consumer events, including a flagship UK show and a growing calendar of international editions.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who is ready to step into a leadership position and take the marketing reins for a small, growing team. You'll work closely with senior leadership and be responsible for setting clear commercial targets, building and executing multi‑channel campaigns, and taking ownership of driving ticket and hospitality sales.
You'll also line manage a Marketing Executive, providing the structure, guidance and mentoring needed to help them grow in the role.
Contract: Permanent or fixed‑term considered
Working pattern: Full‑time; part‑time or four‑day week considered for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement structure into the marketing department, building a 3–4 week activation calendar across all marketing channels, with clear ownership and deadlines
- Own and deliver the 2026 marketing strategy, including clear daily, weekly and annual sales targets
- Develop a yearly strategic plan aligned to revenue objectives, including audience personas and tone of voice
- Shift the team to a midweek sales‑reporting rhythm to enable proactive, timely adjustments
- Establish a centralised tracker combining daily ticket sales, revenue and channel‑level conversion data
- Run weekly reviews against targets and coach the team on consistent, structured reporting
Audience & Messaging
- Segment audiences (previous buyers, subscribers, engaged non‑buyers) and lead the development of evidence‑based personas using survey and channel data
- Own the messaging framework, clearly differentiating the events' premium positioning from competitors
- Broaden campaign appeal beyond the core enthusiast audience through lifestyle‑led content and messaging
Digital & Paid Social
- Direct and challenge agency performance on paid social, improving targeting, content variety and spend efficiency
- Oversee testing of ad formats and copy variants, niche audience targeting (e.g. enthusiast clubs and communities), and retargeting/abandoned‑booking campaigns
- Take ownership of the digital ad budget, the largest pre‑event spend area, to maximise ROI
Website & Email
- Improve the website's conversion of new visitors, including clearer explanation of the event and mobile journey improvements
- Restructure email campaigns for better segmentation, shorter content and higher‑placed calls to action
- Introduce follow‑up and abandoned‑booking email flows
Partnerships & PR
- Activate partners with marketing toolkits and co‑branded content, and track partner‑driven engagement via tracking links
- Manage PR agency relationships, ensuring deliverables are met and content is tracked
- Support the shift of budget from print to digital advertising
- Line manage and mentor a Marketing Executive, providing the day‑to‑day structure, guidance and coaching they need to develop their skills and confidence
- Bring consistent reporting discipline and clear priorities to the team, giving the Marketing Executive a clear framework to work within
- Be sensitive to team dynamics during a period of transition, maintaining morale and collaboration
About You
- Proven experience in an event marketing role or senior marketing role, ideally within B2C events or a premium/luxury brand environment
- Strong commercial, revenue‑focused mindset with a track record of hitting targets
- Experience working with ticket sales and event pricing structures
- Confident managing and challenging external agencies (paid social, PR)
- Skilled in audience segmentation, persona development and messaging strategy
- Experience across paid social, email marketing (e.g. Mailchimp) and website conversion optimisation
- A natural coach and people manager, comfortable developing junior team members
- Highly organised, with strong reporting and tracking discipline
What's On Offer
- Flexibility on part‑time or four‑day working patterns
- The opportunity to lead marketing for a portfolio of premium international events
- High visibility within a fast‑growing team, with real scope to shape the role
