Who We Are: We’re rebuilding the energy transaction system, making it transparent and fair. Our product, RED™, built on a proprietary pricing engine that bypasses the wholesale market, enables businesses to buy the energy produced by renewable generators directly. That’s 100% transparent transactions, ensuring affordable bills and fair compensation, to give every business ownership and control over where their energy comes from. Since launching in 2021, we’ve saved UK businesses and generators over £20 million, powering a growing network of forward‑thinking companies. Backed by top-tier VCs, we’re creating a new category in energy – one that’s local, decentralised, and built on trust.
The Role: Do you want to work on one of the biggest problems of our time – how we make energy systems transparent, affordable, and powered by renewables? Energy data underpins everything we do, from pricing intelligence to customer success, and we’re building a team that can turn raw numbers into powerful decisions. We’re looking for a Staff Data Analyst to become the voice of data across the company, acting in a principal capacity without being weighed down by management. This is a pivotal role: you’ll partner with Product, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success to unlock insights, define metrics, and standardise how data drives decision‑making. Your work will shape the future of our product and business.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders: Collaborate with Product, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success to translate challenges into analytical solutions.
- Create insights that drive action: Deliver in‑depth analyses that inform product, commercial, and customer decisions.
- Standardise metrics and dashboards: Establish consistent definitions and clear visualisations to make data accessible across the business.
- Champion data‑driven decision‑making: Advocate for better use of data and empower non‑technical colleagues to self‑serve.
- Shape the stack: Influence the evolution of our analytics tools and processes as the company scales.
- Mentor and elevate: Guide junior analysts, raising the bar for technical quality and storytelling.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally: Ensure data insights flow seamlessly between the data team, engineering, and business units.
Requirements:
Must‑Haves:
- Proven experience: Multiple years in data analytics and experienced in influencing decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Collaborative communicator: Skilled at working across technical and non‑technical teams.
- Technical depth: Strong SQL skills, experience with modern analytics stacks (dbt, Looker/Tableau, or similar technologies), and a solid understanding of Python.
- Data storytelling: Ability to simplify complex analysis into clear, compelling narratives and visuals.
- Business acumen: Comfortable with product impact analysis, commercial sizing, churn analysis, and performance measurement.
- Mentorship: Experience coaching junior analysts and setting high standards for analysis.
Desirable:
- Experience defining metrics frameworks at scale.
- Familiarity with energy markets, fintech, or climate tech.
- Exposure to BI and data adoption initiatives.
Benefits & Perks:
- Competitive salary - our current band for this role is ÂŁ94,500 or equivalent in local currency.
- Stock Options - everyone on the team has ownership in our mission.
- 25 days holiday + public holidays - Swap public holidays for ones that matter most to you.
- Remote & flexible working - We’re fully remote, distributed across Europe with clear core hours.
- Home working & wellbeing budgets: Up to £1,200 / €1,200 annually to upgrade your remote setup.
Interview Process: Our processes normally take around 3–4 weeks from first call to offer. First call with our Talent Team (30 min). Behaviour Interview with our Data Manager (45 min). Technical Interviews with the Team (60 min). Culture‑Add Interview with Stakeholders (45 min).
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities, including those that are traditionally underrepresented in the tech and energy sectors. If you’re excited about this role but not sure you meet every requirement, we’d still love to hear from you.
