Who We Are
We are rebuilding the energy transaction, making it transparent and fair. Our goal is to put power back where it belongs, in the hands of customers and to take on one of the most critical problems of our century, access to low cost electricity. tem exists to fix a broken global energy market that’s long favoured legacy operators, intermediaries, and opaque pricing. Today’s electricity system was not designed for rapid decarbonisation, AI-driven efficiency or fair access for the actual users - businesses and generators. We’ve built the first AI native transaction infrastructure to reinvent how electricity is bought, sold and priced. Our technology is designed to cut out the inefficient fees, automate complex market flows, and bring transparency and fairness to energy transactions at scale.

In late 2025, after extraordinary growth, we closed a $75 million Series B led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from Albion, Atomico, Allianz, Hitachi Ventures, Schroders Capital and others - positioning us for global expansion, deeper product innovation and category leadership. We’re scaling internationally and building toward a future where AI-driven infrastructure is foundational to electricity markets worldwide. Since launch, our modern utility product, known as RED, has already facilitated thousands of business customers and billions in energy transaction value, proving that modern software and AI can transform an industry built on legacy systems. At tem, we’re not just building another energy company, we’re rearchitecting market infrastructure so that transparency, efficiency and sustainability become the default, not the exception.

The Role
We're hiring a Senior Content Specialist, a hybrid writer and designer who can take a brief and execute it end-to-end. This is a production and distribution role. You will write, produce, and ship content across formats: newsletters, LinkedIn posts, long‑form articles, broker‑facing one‑pagers, email copy. But the written output is only half of it. You will also design the assets that carry that writing (e.g. social graphics, carousels, one‑pagers, visual storytelling for LinkedIn) working in Figma to a standard that doesn't require a redesign before it goes out.

We are not looking for a B2B generalist who produces safe, competent work. We are looking for someone with genuine creative flair: the kind of person who sees a brief and thinks about the story first, not the template. Someone who can look at a news moment like an award nomination and think backwards into a narrative arc, then execute it cleanly in copy and design without being told how. Critically, this is not a role where you ship things ad hoc and move on. Everything you produce should ladder up to a system that scales, not just operationally but in terms of brand. The best people in this role build in parallel to shipping: they see the pattern in what they're producing, identify what's missing, and make the machine better as they go. That's what we mean when we say judgment matters here. It's not just about writing or designing well. It's about knowing which problem to solve next and why.

You will:

  • Own the content publishing cadence and keep it moving without supervision
  • Design and produce social assets, carousels, and visual content in Figma
  • Build and act on distribution recommendations grounded in performance data
  • Work with the agency on video and production briefs
  • Bring audience intelligence into every content decision, not just the writing

A note on our commercial model: we sell predominantly through broker partners who pitch RED to SME businesses. Brokers are the primary route to market, not end customers. A significant portion of your output, one‑pagers, objection‑handling content, partner‑facing copy, will be aimed at helping those brokers sell more confidently. Understanding that audience, and what makes them trust a supplier, is a real part of this job.

Responsibilities
Content production and design

  • Write and produce content across formats, newsletters, LinkedIn posts, long‑form articles, broker‑facing one‑pagers, email copy, to a high and consistent standard
  • Design the assets that carry that content: social graphics, carousels, one‑pagers, and visual storytelling in Figma
  • Take a brief from concept to finished asset without requiring a redesign pass from our Content Lead or the wider team
  • Coordinate with PMMs on messaging alignment so content output reflects the right product narrative
  • Coordinate on lifecycle email copy and flag when AEO content needs a distribution push

Distribution

  • Own distribution strategy for major content moments: format, channel mix, gating decisions, repurposing sequences
  • Bring data to support distribution recommendations
  • Pull and review weekly distribution metrics, flag what outperformed, recommend what to repeat, surface patterns that should inform editorial decisions

Operations and calendar management

  • Manage the content calendar: confirm statuses, chase stalled items, coordinate timelines between our Content Lead, the PMM team, and the content tools
  • Keep the production machine moving without Alex needing to hold it in his head

Agency management

  • Work with the agency on video and production briefs: pull in messaging from the PMM kit, align on tone, manage the back‑and‑forth

Requirements
Must‑haves

  • 4-6 years in content, editorial, or a closely related role, with clear evidence of output quality across multiple formats
  • Strong writing: clear, engaging copy produced quickly and to a consistent standard, without needing heavy supervision
  • Real Figma capability: not a specialist, but someone whose design work doesn't need fixing before it goes out. Your portfolio needs to show this, not just mention it
  • Creative flair: you think about the story before the template, and your work shows it. Competent execution within a standard B2B playbook is not enough here
  • Distribution instinct: you think about who reads what and how to get content in front of the right people, not just how to produce it
  • Data orientation: you look at performance numbers and draw recommendations from them, not just observations
  • Operational reliability: you close loops, update statuses, and keep the machine moving without needing to be chased
  • Ability to simplify complexity: tem is a technically dense product in a market where trust is the real thing being sold. You can take something unfamiliar and make it feel clear and credible without dumbing it down

Bonus points

  • Experience in B2B or a technically complex market where content has to earn credibility, not just generate traffic
  • Experience writing for or alongside a commercial team: you understand how content connects to pipeline
  • Experience as an execution partner to a content lead or editorial director, you know what that division of labour feels like and you're good at it
  • A portfolio that includes social‑first work, evidence that you adapt a story to its format rather than just repurposing it
  • Familiarity with HubSpot for content scheduling or email coordination
  • Understanding of AEO or AI‑powered search as a distribution channel
