We are rebuilding the energy transaction, making it transparent and fair. Our goal is to put power back where it belongs, in the hands of customers and to take on one of the most critical problems of our century, access to low cost electricity. We exist to fix a broken global energy market that’s long favoured legacy operators, intermediaries, and opaque pricing. Today’s electricity system was not designed for rapid decarbonisation, AI-driven efficiency or fair access for the actual users - businesses and generators. We’ve built the first AI native transaction infrastructure to reinvent how electricity is bought, sold and priced. Our technology is designed to cut out the inefficient fees, automate complex market flows, and bring transparency and fairness to energy transactions at scale.
In late 2025, after extraordinary growth, we closed a $75 million Series B - led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from Albion, Atomico, Allianz, Hitachi Ventures, Schroders Capital and others - positioning us for global expansion, deeper product innovation and category leadership. We’re scaling internationally and building toward a future where AI-driven infrastructure is foundational to electricity markets worldwide. Since launch, our modern utility product, known as RED, has already facilitated thousands of business customers and billions in energy transaction value, proving that modern software and AI can transform an industry built on legacy systems. At tem, we’re not just building another energy company, we’re rearchitecting market infrastructure so that transparency, efficiency and sustainability become the default, not the exception.
The Role
We're hiring a Baseload Originator. Your job is to deliver consistent, high-quality generator deals that expand baseload-shaped supply, deepen liquidity and pricing, and strengthen tem's credibility with asset owners and developers. You'll grow our generator base across core tech types (anaerobic digestion, landfill gas, and energy from waste), owning relationships end-to-end to improve deal velocity and reduce friction across commercials and onboarding. You'll act as a trusted commercial counterpart to developers and asset owners, feed structured sell-side insight back into pricing and product, and represent tem credibly in the broader generator ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Run and close generator deals from first signal to signature, shaping commercials, negotiating Heads of Terms, and landing contracts at pace.
- Grow tem’s presence with developers, IPPs and aggregators through targeted outreach and disciplined, data-led pipeline management.
- Build a diversified portfolio across core tech types, regions, counterparties and tenors to increase liquidity, resilience and pricing depth.
- Track asset changes, deal activity and generator preferences; turn insight into clear offers and next actions.
- Own commercial diligence and deal hygiene so handoffs are clean, including key asset data, route-to-market inputs, and internal alignment.
- Work with Legal, Ops and Product to remove onboarding friction and ensure clean handoffs to delivery.
- Feed structured sell-side signals into pricing, product and strategy to sharpen our proposition and stay ahead of competitors.
Requirements
Must haves
- Experience in energy, climate tech or B2B sales in complex, multi-stakeholder deals with renewable generators, developers or asset managers.
- Proven ability to source, structure and close new generator deals.
- Strong grasp of generator commercial drivers (price, risk, term, route-to-market) with credible value positioning.
- Experience with PPAs, flexible products or structured energy deals; able to coordinate with Trading and Legal.
- Excellent communicator who collaborates across teams to smooth generator onboarding.
Desirable
- Proactive, collaborative problem-solver with a bias to action and results.
- Comfortable using data tooling and automation to manage pipeline, pricing inputs and outreach at scale.
- Passion for sustainability and clean energy.
Success measures
- 50+ generator opportunities originated and qualified, with 10–15 contracts signed or near-term closing.
- ≥ 1 TWh of generation under management or in late-stage pipeline across one or more asset classes.
- Visible, well-documented network of developer and asset-owner relationships with active comms and deal calendars.
- Structured feedback that shortens onboarding timelines and sharpens the generator proposition.
