We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to take ownership of the Energy & Utilities sector across the UK & Ireland and drive new business growth for Teltonika's Telematics portfolio.

Teltonika is a global leader in Internet of Things (Io T), with over 25 years of innovation, operations in more than 27 countries, and over 2,500 employees worldwide.

Teltonika's Telematics business unit develops easy-to-use GPS tracking devices for effective vehicle and asset management across industries including energy, utilities, logistics, agriculture, construction, fleet management and more.

Using the latest technologies, Teltonika sets new standards for the vehicle and asset tracking industry.

Following the launch of our UK operation in 2024, we're continuing to invest heavily across our Io T portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a high-potential market, build a strong pipeline from the ground up and play a key role in growing Teltonika's presence across the UK & Ireland.

Reporting to the Head of UK Telematics Sales, you'll have the opportunity to build and grow the Energy & Utilities vertical, developing relationships with senior stakeholders and creating new commercial opportunities across the sector.

Location

Salford, Greater Manchester, UK Head Office, Suite 2.1, Building 8, Exchange Quay, M5 3EJ, with regular travel throughout the UK & Ireland.

In this role, you will

  • Take ownership of developing and growing the Energy & Utilities vertical within the UK & Ireland, contributing to the company's overall growth strategy
  • Identify, engage, and close high-value opportunities
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline through outbound and strategic networking
  • Develop relationships with senior decision-makers across energy and utilities organisations
  • Represent the business at industry events and exhibitions
  • Create tailored commercial proposals and negotiate contracts
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure delivery of best-fit solutions
  • Accurately manage pipeline and forecasting via our CRM

What we expect of you

  • Proven success in B2B business development / Technical Consulting
  • Strong track record of winning new business and closing deals
  • Strong connections and experience within the UK and/or Irish Energy & Utilities sectors

• Experience in one or more of the following

  • Telematics / vehicle / asset tracking solutions
  • understanding how to connect mobile and high-value assets to a management platform to improve fleet visibility, utilisation, safety and operational efficiency
  • Internet of Things (Io T) / connectivity
  • understanding how data from vehicles and field assets can support informed operational and business decision-making
  • Networking infrastructure
  • understanding the systems required to securely transmit data from connected assets to end users and management platforms
  • Confident in outbound prospecting and building pipeline from scratch
  • Commercially driven with a strong focus on revenue and growth
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • English language skills (both written and spoken)
  • A willingness to travel nationally to meet prospective clients and close new business
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Direct telematics or asset tracking experience is beneficial - but we welcome strong candidates from adjacent technology markets with established Energy & Utilities relationships.
