As a Technical Trainee, you work in line with prescribed operating frameworks and develop your skills whilst gaining valuable hands-on industry experience. You demonstrate a passion for technology, excellent customer service skills and a willingness to learn all aspects from our highly experienced IT team. Your role involves assisting in the provision of technical service, solutions and support to the networks, infrastructure, products and services supplied and operated by Telstra, giving you the opportunity to kick start your career in a supportive team environment.

Telstra is inviting First Nations peoples across Australia to apply for our 12-month paid telecommunications traineeship program. Our Field Service team provide on the ground support to homes and business around the country. As a Trainee Field Technician, you will be a friendly face our communities become to recognise as the hero keeping us all connected.

As a Field Delivery Telecommunications Trainee, you will work alongside a mentor offering you ongoing coaching, support and mentoring during your traineeship. You will get hands-on training providing our customers with a great experience by activating and assuring telecommunications/technology products and services, in homes and/or business. You will actively participate in a diverse team environment to deliver the optimum customer and commercial outcomes aligned to Telstra's values and strategy. We have several positions available around the country. The expectation is to reside in the targeted area or be willing to relocate.

This is a Fixed-term role for 12 months with opportunity for permanency after completion.

Qualifications

As a Trainee Technician you will be provided with Telecommunication Technology Cert III training during the traineeship along with relevant certifications and/or licencing for the location you reside in. No qualifications needed. Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment undertaken by RTO. Telstra can support you through obtaining a Working With Children Check and White Card.
