A leading IT Consultancy is seeking a Systems Engineer on a long term contract basis to work on a project with a leading Financial Services client. You will be needed onsite in Canary Wharf 3 times per week.
The Systems Engineer will have an understanding of Windows, Linux, and networking, with a focus on server engineering, system analysis, and IoT devices.
The Systems Engineer must have the following skills/experience:
- Understanding of Windows, Linux, and networking, with a focus on server engineering, system analysis, and IoT devices.
- Knowledge of APIs, technical environments, and troubleshooting, including experience with cloud-based technologies and hybrid work models.
- Familiarity with SaaS applications, SAML, and OIDC, as well as experience with device configuration and hardware.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to write documentation and communicate effectively.
- Experience working with IoT devices, including understanding of device configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including Firewalls, load balancers, and Proxy Servers.
- Understanding of IT framework, including L1, L2, and L3 support, with a focus on L2 and L3 roles.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including vendors, internal teams, and external partners.
- Experience with project management, including migration, deployment, and testing of IoT devices.
- Strong understanding of security protocols, including encryption, authentication, and authorization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
- Experience with documentation, including writing and maintaining technical documents, and communicating complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies, including IoT, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Experience with training and mentoring, including training junior team members and mentoring colleagues.
- Ability to work in a hybrid work model, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability.
