With decades of experience in isolator technology, our multidisciplinary team delivers world‑class after‑sales solutions, upgrades, and lifecycle support for the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.
As a Customer Support Engineer (Customer Service), you will play a key role in servicing, upgrading, and commissioning equipment as part of Syntegon Telstar technologies. You’ll work within a flexible, multi‑skilled team to develop new and maintain existing after‑sales customer records and relationships using company procedures and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction. This hands‑on position combines customer support, field service, and commissioning both in the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities- Visit clients’ premises to carry out on‑site service work and upgrade works.
- Perform site‑based calibrations and maintenance and record the results in service documentation.
- Manage UK and overseas travel to meet clients’ expectations.
- Recognise the need for performance adjustments and recommendations and record the results.
- Complete validation documents and reports in accordance with client and cGMP standards.
- Periodically visit clients’ premises for technical site support regarding requirements/quotations requests.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with existing and prospective customers to develop close working relationships and assist in the growth of the after‑sales business.
- HNC Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or suitable equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience in a customer service / commissioning role in the Engineering sector.
- Experience in technical operation of containment and air handling equipment.
- Competencies: instrument settings, calibration techniques, filter analysis, airflow measurements, pressure testing.
- Follow established processes/systems and recommend improvements as appropriate.
- Good communication skills and ability to work directly with customers.
- Full UK driving licence & passport required.
- Experience with isolator or barrier systems in the Pharma industry.
- Background in pharmaceutical or regulated industries (GAMP, GMP, FDA).
- Technical knowledge of freeze‑drying systems.
- Analysis and reporting.
