The Role
We are seeking an experienced Client Manager to join their Manchester office. This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-focused professional to manage a portfolio of established clients while supporting the growth of the practice through exceptional client service and business development activities.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Manage and develop relationships with a designated portfolio of clients across various sectors
- Act as primary point of contact for day-to-day client queries and service coordination
- Conduct regular client meetings to review performance, identify needs, and discuss opportunities
- Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication and service delivery
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary service delivery across different teams within the firm
Business Development & Growth
- Identify opportunities for additional services within existing client relationships
- Support Partners in client presentations and proposal development
- Participate in networking events and industry functions
- Contribute to the firm\’s business development strategy and market presence
- Build relationships with referral sources including legal professionals, financial advisors, and industry contacts
Service Coordination
- Oversee service delivery across accountancy, tax, audit, and advisory services
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage client onboarding processes and service agreements
- Coordinate with specialists in areas such as corporate finance, financial planning, and legal services
- Monitor client profitability and fee recovery
- Supervise and mentor junior client service staff
- Contribute to training and development programmes
- Support workflow management and resource allocation
- Assist in recruitment and team building activities
Practice Management
- Contribute to the firm\’s strategic planning and operational improvements
- Maintain detailed client records and management information
- Support compliance with professional regulations and quality standards
- Assist with practice development initiatives and process improvements
Experience & Qualifications
- Professional Background: 5+ years in professional services, preferably accountancy or financial services
- Client Management: Proven track record managing client relationships in a professional services environment
- Business Development: Experience in identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Qualifications: Degree qualified; professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred but not essential
