We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed strategic Project Officer to support Childrens Services on their journey of transformation and service improvement. This team is responsible for driving income generation and cost savings and is pivotal in the realization of service outcomes.

The Project Officer will work within the Childrens Services Strategic Operations Hub, committed to delivering a key council Programme within the transformation portfolio that supports effective and sustainable change. The post is responsible for the development and day-to-day execution of the Childrens transformation and improvement programme plan, celebrating successful outcomes and swiftly reacting to concerns that may risk the achievement of the programme.

You will support the management teams with the oversight responsibility of quality transformation and improvement projects to deliver key benefits. Responsibilities include the development and day-to-day execution of the Childrens transformation and improvement programme plan, overseeing quality transformation and improvement projects to deliver key benefits, and swiftly addressing concerns that may risk the programme’s success.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Experience of transformation or programme management within local government or a similar public-sector context is desirable. You will be a highly motivated, forward-thinking, systemically minded individual capable of working under pressure within a supportive environment.
