About The Role
As a Traffic Engineer, you will contribute to the design, implementation and project management of a wide range of Traffic Engineering schemes. You will provide professional and technical advice across the Council and to external clients, helping ensure we meet our statutory duties.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed engineering schemes and contract documents.
- Design and deliver Traffic Engineering and highway projects.
- Manage projects including financial and programme monitoring.
- Use AutoCAD, GIS, UTMC/UTC tools and surveying equipment.
- Undertake technical investigations and feasibility assessments.
- Provide expert advice and respond to enquiries.
- Prepare and present reports.
- Manage contractors and supervise assistant engineers.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and CDM regulations.
