Role Description
The Senior Careers Adviser is a full-time, on-site role based in Walsall, supporting learners in making informed choices about education, training, and career pathways.
The role involves providing one-to-one and group guidance sessions, delivering careers education activities, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of labour market information and progression routes.
The Senior Careers Adviser will collaborate with teaching staff, employers, and external partners to create opportunities such as work experience, employer talks, and careers events.
The role also includes maintaining accurate records, contributing to reports and evaluations, and ensuring that careers guidance meets relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Relevant careers guidance qualification (e. g., Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development or equivalent) and experience in education or training settings.
- Strong advisory and coaching skills, with the ability to conduct structured guidance interviews and group sessions with learners from varied backgrounds.
