This is an exciting opportunity for someone that is passionate about making a difference to the lives of people that are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Rough Sleeper Tenancy Sustainment Officers work face to face with their customers as well as in an office environment and spend time working from home. Experience in a similar role is desired but not essential for a motivated candidate; full training will be given.
A Rough Sleeper Tenancy Sustainment Officer provides support to clients to ensure they maintain their tenancy and prevent them from becoming homeless. This involves working with both the tenant and landlord to ensure the tenancy is sustained through:
- Supporting the tenant in managing and maintaining their tenancy
- Advice on budgeting
- Linking with other support services
- Lifestyle skills
Providing reassurance to landlords that we will support tenants in meeting their tenancy agreement and encourage more landlords to house clients who are either rough sleeping or likely to become homeless. The successful candidate will work specifically with people rough sleeping or at risk of doing so.
