This is an exciting opportunity to join Telford & Wrekin Council's Transport Team who are responsible for the delivery of safe, reliable, sustainable, and innovative value for money transport services to the residents of Telford.

A D1 licence is desirable for this role, but we also encourage applications from individuals who would be willing to work towards achieving it. If you want to help make a positive difference to the lives of people across Telford and Wrekin, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Drive and be responsible for the operation of mini buses which provide specialist transport to passengers, including children with special educational needs, adults with disabilities, social care clients and members of the general public accessing bespoke transport services.
  • Support clients and their families and work closely with the passenger assistant and office team to ensure the safety, comfort and dignity of all passengers is respected at all times.
Qualifications
  • Successful candidates will possess good communication skills (both written and verbal) and organisational skills, be excellent team players and have a positive and flexible attitude.
  • A D1 licence is desirable for this role, with willingness to work towards achieving it.
