This is an exciting opportunity to join Telford & Wrekin Council's Transport Team, responsible for delivering safe, reliable, sustainable and innovative transport services that provide excellent value and support to residents across the borough.
We are looking for Casual Passenger Assistants who are passionate about supporting others and making a positive impact in their local community. In this rewarding role, you will help provide specialist transport services for a wide range of passengers, including children with special educational needs, adults with disabilities, social care clients and members of the public accessing bespoke transport services.
This is a varied and engaging role where no two days are the same. You will work with a dynamic range of people, building positive relationships with passengers, families, carers, drivers, schools and care providers, while ensuring every journey is safe, comfortable and dignified. Working alongside a driver as part of a dedicated team, Passenger Assistants play a vital role in supporting clients throughout their journey and providing reassurance to both passengers and their families.
The role usually operates on a split-shift basis, typically:
- Morning shift: 7:15am – 9:30am
- Afternoon shift: 2:30pm – 4:15pm
