Nursery Assistant

Scale 3 £13.90 per hour

Hours: 11.00‑1.30 each day and one day 11.00‑3.15. 14 hours 30 minutes per week.

Temporary post for a year, term time only from September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nursery teacher in the delivery of the EYFS curriculum.
• Prepare, manage and enhance classroom resources and learning areas.
• Lead and supervise designated areas of the room under the guidance of the Nursery Teacher.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Outstanding practitioner with a can‑do attitude and values that make a difference in children’s lives.
• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
• Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people.
• Subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks, Childcare Disqualification Regulations and Childcare Act 2006.
