We are looking for a motivated and proactive Business Support Officer to join our busy Neighbourhood & Enforcement Business Support Team. Business Support plays a vital role in ensuring effective delivery of services that make a real difference to our communities. This variation-rich position sits at the heart of service delivery, supporting teams across Neighbourhood & Enforcement Services and ensuring that customers receive an efficient, responsive service.
As a Business Support Officer you will manage and prioritise requests received through high-volume shared mailboxes, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, respond to customer enquiries, maintain accurate records and support a range of operational and administrative processes. You will also work closely with colleagues to identify and implement improvements that enhance service delivery and customer experience.
This role requires confidence in managing competing priorities, accuracy under pressure, and clear communication with customers, businesses, contractors, schools, regulatory bodies, emergency services and council officers.
Requirements- Experience working in a busy administrative or business support environment.
- Confident managing high-volume shared inboxes and multiple workstreams.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience of customer service and providing professional responses to enquiries and complaints.
- Team-player who can also work independently using initiative.
