As a Fostering Recruitment Officer, you will play a key role in our ambitious and forward-thinking Fostering Service. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful recruitment team with big aspirations to grow and improve.

Responsibilities
  • Leading on the recruitment of foster carers for Telford & Wrekin Council, ensuring children can stay local wherever possible.
  • Building strong connections with the local community, public services, and businesses to raise awareness of fostering.
  • Ensuring that anyone enquiring about fostering has a positive and consistent experience throughout the process.
  • Supporting people through the assessment process to become approved foster carers, underpinned by our recruitment strategy.
  • Assisting with event planning and delivery, and working closely with the Marketing and Communications Officer to maximize recruitment opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Is passionate about making a difference for children and families.
  • Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Is proactive, creative, and able to engage with diverse communities.
  • Can work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to achieve shared goals.
  • Experience in recruitment, marketing, or community engagement would be an advantage, but more importantly, we want someone who shares our vision and commitment to fostering.
