We are currently seeking a motivated and suitably skilled individual to join the Leisure services team in the role of Duty Manager at Oakengates Leisure. The successful candidate will work across a rota pattern that includes evenings and weekend working and will be responsible for the operational management of a Council owned sports and leisure facility on a shift basis.

They will have good interpersonal and customer communication skills and relevant supervisory experience in a Leisure and Customer Services environment. They will have experience of supervising and training staff in operational procedures, experience of Health & Safety monitoring and reporting procedures.

A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (or ability to achieve within 6 months), Pool plant operators certificate (or ability to achieve in 6 months) and a Level 2 Health & Fitness Certificate (or ability to achieve within 6 months) are requirements of the post. They will have good knowledge of current Health and safety legislation and HR, Audit and financial policies and procedures and understand the links between physical activity and health and have experience of working in a fast paced environment.
