Short Wood Primary School are looking to appoint 2 Teaching Assistants. One of the positions is in our Early Years department and experience in an Early Years setting would be essential for that post.
The role of a Teaching Assistant in our school is to support the class teacher in the teaching and learning of children. You will also be expected to establish a supportive relationship with the children and carry out other duties which fall within the remit of the post of Teaching Assistant. This position may also include one‑to‑one support for a child with additional needs, when required.
Hours: 5 hours per day, Mon – Fri between 8.45am and 3.15pm with some flexibility as to the needs and opening times of the school; 1 hour lunch break (unpaid). There is also the possibility of taking a reduced lunch break in order to supervise part of the school lunch period for an additional paid 30 mins per day.
Pay Scale: 2 £13.05 per hour (£25185 equivalent annual salary – pro rata)
