Our office is often the first point of contact for families, visitors and staff - and we are looking for someone who can bring professionalism, warmth and a positive approach to every interaction.

About the Role

As our Office Manager, you will play a central and valued role in keeping our school running smoothly. You will lead our friendly office team with confidence and kindness, helping to create a welcoming environment for all. You will work closely with the Headteacher and the Learning Community Trust, supporting key areas including finance, HR, Health & Safety, policy oversight, and school administration. Every day will be different - and you will be someone who enjoys that variety.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Supporting and guiding our administration team
  • Keeping our office organised, calm, and welcoming
  • Supporting budget monitoring and ensuring financial tasks run smoothly
  • Coordinating HR processes such as recruitment and induction
  • Overseeing policies, GDPR responsibilities, and compliance tasks
  • Working closely with the LCT Estate Manager on Health & Safety
  • Updating the school website and supporting internal communications
  • Providing a high quality, friendly service to parents, carers and visitors
  • Making sure all safeguarding and confidentiality procedures are upheld

You will be someone who enjoys working with people and naturally brings warmth and positivity into your role. You will be organised, proactive, and able to juggle different tasks with confidence. Most of all, you will be committed to supporting our children, families and staff. We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working in an administrative or educational setting
  • Experience leading or supporting a team
  • Great communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Strong organisational abilities and a calm, thoughtful approach
  • A positive, solution focused mindset
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office and general ICT systems
  • A commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
  • Willingness to complete first aid training

Desirable

  • A School Business Manager or similar professional qualification
  • Degree level education
  • Safer Recruitment training

Fluency Duty

Because this is a customer facing role, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong spoken English.
