This is an exciting opportunity to join Telford & Wrekin Council\’s Transport Team who are responsible for the delivery of safe, reliable, sustainable, and innovative value for money transport services to the residents of Telford.
This role is 20 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days training.
We are looking for a permanent passenger driver who has a D1 licence and wants to help make a difference to the lives of people in Telford and Wrekin.
To drive and be responsible for the operation of mini buses which provide specialist transport to passengers, including children with special educational needs, adults with disabilities, social care clients and members of the general public accessing bespoke transport services.
The post holder will support clients and their families and work closely with the passenger assistant, and office team to ensure that the safety, comfort and dignity of all passengers is respected at all times.
Successful candidates will possess good communication skills (both written and verbal) and organisational skills, be excellent team players and have a positive and flexible attitude.
