Full-Time, Permanent MPS/UPS + 1 SEN Point + TLR To start from 1st September 2026 (or January subject to notice periods). An opportunity has arisen for a Head of English at Southall School. They will be responsible for leading English across the school. We welcome visits and applications from professionals who work in a special needs or mainstream setting (primary or secondary) who have a passion for SEND.

The successful candidate for this middle leadership post will:
- Be responsible for the English curriculum and its development.
- Be responsible for the high quality delivery of our systematic synthetic phonics offer across the school.
- Lead on quality assurance of the delivery of English across the school.
- Be responsible for all English accreditation.
- Be part of the middle leadership team.
The postholder will be paid at mainscale/upper pay scale. They will also receive 1 SEN point (currently £2,787) and a TLR2 (currently £5,607). Southall School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. The post will be offered subject to the satisfactory return of safeguarding checks, two references and online checks. Candidates will be subject to a Google check.
