The predicted salary is between 26824 - 28142 £ per year.
Salary: Grade 6 Point 8-11 £26,824 - £28,142 per annum, pro rata. Actual Salary: £21,742 - £22,821 per annum
Hours of Work: 30 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year (6.50 hours per day). These will vary and include evening, early morning, weekend and bank holiday work as required.
Annual Leave: 24 days (to increase to 29 days after 5 years' service)
Contract Term: Permanent
Commencement date: As soon as possible
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- To support the delivery of a quality site service and maintenance for the whole academy site to provide a safe, clean, attractive and secure learning and working environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
- To support with the practical implementation of measures to ensure the Academy complies with legal requirements relating to buildings and to the health, safety, security and welfare of staff, pupils and visitors.
- To be flexible and able to work additional hours to assist in the staffing of lettings and events hosted by the Academy.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Health and Safety qualification including Manual Handling, working at height, COSHH, PAT and Fire Marshall training or willingness to undertake.
- A working knowledge of building and health and safety legislation.
- Professional experience or a relevant qualification relating to the building trade, utilities, plumbing or carpentry.
- Experience of working in a school or educational environment.
- The ability to carry out physical and demanding work.
- The ability to be flexible, work shift patterns, additional and/or unsociable hours as required.
The post holder will comply with safeguarding policies and procedures and be able to recognise safeguarding signs, report any disclosures & safeguarding concerns immediately to the DSL and monitor students' safety at all times.
