Haughton School is a Primary Special School for children with moderate to severe learning difficulties and complex needs.
We wish to appoint an experienced teacher on a fixed term basis, to the end of the academic year, to work with a small group of children using structured teaching approaches such as TEACCH. The successful candidate will be experienced in working in a specialist setting preferably with Primary aged children.
We need you to:
- Be an exemplary teacher with knowledge and experience of moderate to severe learning difficulties and complex needs.
- Have a nurturing approach whilst setting high standards of expectation for learning and behaviour.
- Be of resilient character with a can-do attitude.
- Have detailed knowledge and experience in the delivery of a flexible, engaging curriculum including a work/reward approach.
- Be a committed advocate for inclusive practice.
- Be a team player committed to working in partnership with all stakeholders.
- Have a desire and driving force to make a difference.
