Responsibilities
- As part of the Family Safeguarding team, you will establish a multi-disciplinary team where specialist adult practitioners in domestic abuse, mental health, and substance misuse are co-located with Social Workers under a unified management structure to provide a whole-family response.
- Use Motivational Interviewing (MI) as a framework for practice; participate in training and ongoing skills development workshops and follow a structured solution-focused intervention programme with families.
- Utilise an electronic assessment workbook that provides a single data tool for all professionals, linking to the work programme to ease information sharing.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should be a qualified Social Worker with a registration with Social Work England, and experience in child protection and family safeguarding. Experience in domestic abuse, mental health, or substance misuse is desirable.
