What You'll Be Doing

  • Responsible for providing a comprehensive, professional & efficient generalist HR support service to specific client department areas at a local level – performance management, disciplinary & grievance, employee communications, training & development, employee relations/legal, remuneration & benefits and employee satisfaction, in line with Percepta's people's strategies.
  • Work in partnership with Talent Acquisition to support a comprehensive, professional and efficient recruitment service to the UK sites from initial identification of vacancy through to appointing a new employee.
  • Facilitates the achievement of Percepta's business objectives by coaching and supporting Managers and Team Leaders with their people management issues, delivering HR projects/ initiatives and identifying and resolving key HR issues.

Employee Relations (local level)

  • Acts as an advisor and coach to managers and team leaders ensuring pragmatic solutions, legal compliance and resolution of all people management actions and concerns.
  • Supports managers with performance & absence management issues.
  • Advises and monitors managers and employees concerning work‐related issues, including grievance investigations and disciplinary as necessary.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyse data and make recommendations to client department managers.
  • Conducts employee related counselling and investigations, as necessary.
  • Manages the implementation and ensures compliance with Percepta's Equal Opportunity and Diversity policies.

Recruitment & Selection (UK)

  • Supports completion of the internal recruitment processes i.e. raising Permission to Recruit (PR) Forms, reviewing job descriptions and submitting for grading as necessary.
  • Work in partnership with Operations and Talent Acquisition to design and develop relevant recruitment solutions to meet operational requirements that are bespoke to each role.
  • Social media savvy – Facebook, Instagram etc. to ensure all vacancies are posted and Percepta presence is maintained until vacancy is filled.
  • Works in partnership with Learning & Development, responsible for new hire orientation, and completion of all new hire paperwork necessary for Payroll.
  • Update and maintain the Recruitment Drive to ensure all documents are up to date and a consistent approach is adhered to including providing support and advice for reasonable adjustments if required.

Reward (local level)

  • Assists with the annual salary review process through the Halogen portal.
  • Completes internal paperwork to gain approval for salary increases based on change in role.

Human Resource Management (local level / UK)

  • Develops & maintains, in conjunction with colleagues, maintenance of legally compliant HR policies, procedures and processes.
  • Develop policies & procedures identifies the lack of/ or policy deficiencies, assesses effectiveness of current policies, and recommends and implements policy changes.
  • Interprets and implements company policies and procedures to all line management and staff.
  • Ensure the appraisal process is fully embedded in client department areas.

What You Bring to the Role

  • CIPD Qualified.
  • Undergraduate University Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Mid‐Level HR Generalist experience.
  • In‐house recruitment experience gained in a similar environment.
  • Previously practiced experience of similar responsibilities as listed above ideally gained in contact centre, manufacturing or retail environment, other industries will be considered.

A Bit More About Your Role

  • Thorough working knowledge of the Data Protection Act.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, Microsoft Packages, Word Excel and Access.
  • Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) experience with Oracle and Kronos would be an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of current employment legislation.
  • Flexibility to travel to other sites in the UK with occasional overnight stays.
  • Ability to interact with others at varying organisational levels.
  • Excellent oral, written communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable with the use of technology, software, and social media applications (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest), while continuously keeping up with current technological trends.
  • Ability to influence leadership and employees.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to enable effective relationships.
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity and a professional demeanor.
