Job Description
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of design input, testing, documentation, factory and field support for a variety of control systems employed on our range of aggregate crushing, screening, and bulk handling equipment alongside our Omagh team.
This position, whilst varied in nature, is specifically suited to someone with excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills. You will ensure that produced designs are tested to a high standard, and having an in-depth understanding of control systems, their architecture, software, and hardware, you will act as a specialist and escalation point for production, aftermarket, and sales for resolution of complex queries, as well as being involved with new and cutting-edge system design.
About The Role
Key Deliverables
- Support in-house engineering technicians with the most complex issues to provide timely resolution to a high quality.
- Provide support for existing and new products in conjunction with our aftermarket team.
- Validation on new product and existing product changes, in line with our documented test and development procedures.
- Attention to detail when it comes to delivered control system quality, behavior, and operator ease of use.
- Ensure that new designs conform with relevant equipment standards.
- Ensure new designs are fit for purpose, with simplicity, functionality, and quality in mind.
- Work with Sales and customers to ensure that the requested product specifications are clearly documented.
- Deliver sector-leading, intuitive, and forward-thinking control system user interfaces for our customers.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
- Strong focus on new product development and resolution of complex issues on existing designs where needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant standards and ensure design methodologies and documentation are compliant.
- Liaise with other engineering functions to ensure clear requirements gathering for control systems.
- Provide electrical training and assistance when required for customers.
- Constantly evaluate ways to streamline costs in electrical projects.
- Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
- Follow proper safety rules and procedures at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
