About Teleport
Don't wait for the future of infrastructure. Be part of it. Teleport is the AI Infrastructure Identity Company. We're solving one of the hardest problems in security: giving every human, machine, workload, and AI agent a cryptographically secured identity, improving engineering velocity while maintaining security. We make trusted computing simple. This gives you the freedom, power, and autonomy to build and innovate with confidence.
Remote-first and globally distributed, we work with companies like Nasdaq, IBM, and Elastic to secure infrastructure for an AI world.
As the Manager of Solutions Engineering for EMEA, you will lead a regional team of Solutions Engineers who serve as the technical heart of our go-to-market motion across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will be the connective tissue between field sales execution, customer technical success, and global SE leadership; building a high-performing team that wins deals, earns customer trust, and provides a strategic interface back to Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
The Teleport Solutions Engineering team critically shapes our strategy, ensuring technical success throughout all stages of the customer journey. You will lead and develop a technically proficient team of solutions engineers to deliver an exceptional customer experience. We seek pragmatic, highly technical leaders excited about tackling tough technical challenges. You should be ready to travel to customer sites, eager to engage directly with problems, and capable of building and leading a high performing team.
What you'll be doing:
- Extend and develop a team of Solutions Engineers.
- Train, coach, mentor, and guide your team toward successful performance, career progression, and personal growth.
- Coach SEs on both technical depth and sales excellence, including discovery skills, business value articulation, POC strategy, and executive communication.
- Collaborate with engineering teams from some of the world's most sophisticated technology companies.
- Assist companies in enhancing their security, compliance, and development experience.
- Visit our largest customers on-site to demonstrate new features and construct solutions.
- Conduct structured 1:1s, set individual performance goals, and own career development plans for each SE on your team.
- Partner closely with regional sales leaders and Account Executives to balance SE utilization, prioritize opportunities, and drive technical win rates across the region.
- Engage directly with EMEA enterprise customers at the executive and technical architect level to build long-term relationships and ensure technical success post-sale.
What you'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience managing a team of Solutions Engineers or technical customer-facing professionals, with a track record of developing talent and improving team performance.
- Strong command of the pre-sales motion: discovery, technical qualification, POC design, and connecting technical capabilities to business outcomes.
- Proven experience managing customer outcomes through various stages of the customer journey, from sales process to onboarding, adoption, and growth.
- Strong understanding of Linux networking and network security principles.
- Practical hands-on knowledge of modern cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Working knowledge of identity and access management concepts: SSO, OIDC, SAML, RBAC, mTLS, zero trust architecture, and PAM.
- Proven track record navigating complex infrastructure deployments at security-conscious enterprise organizations.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for server-side software and distributed systems.
- Fluency in English required; additional European language proficiency (German, French, Dutch, or others) is a meaningful advantage.
