Teleport is building a unified identity layer for infrastructure, offering a seamless, zero‑trust approach across cloud and on‑prem environments. We are looking for a senior engineering role with a heavy product focus. Strong candidates will have a combination of technical and analytical skills, a data‑driven mindset, and a results‑oriented approach. In this role you will build and integrate internal tools and services across the company, with focus on quality and user experience. Examples include AI integrations, data analytics platforms, and subscription management systems.
In this position, you will:
- Report directly to the CTO and join the R&D leadership team.
- Partner with the engineering team.
- Interview customers and prospects, gather data and user stories to drive the roadmap.
- Hack on the product alongside the engineering during hackathons.
- Work with product marketing on adoption and revenue of the Zero Trust Access offering.
Possible day‑to‑day responsibilities:
- Analyze Teleport Zero Trust product usage data and formulate experiments to improve conversion rates.
- Implement experiments, assess results, and decide whether to retain changes.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to implement larger code changes driven by experiment results.
- Periodically demo the product to customers and prospects to sharpen product messaging.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on product launches, updates, and messaging.
Required:
- Ability to work in the US or Canada without a visa.
- 3+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience with front‑end web development in TypeScript, and back‑end development in Go.
- Strong interest and aptitude for product thinking.
- Ability to own outcomes rather than tasks.
- Excellent written communication skills.
